    3. The Carbondale Record Saturday June 9, 1888 Fred DAVIS, son of Amos Davis, was home the fore part of this week. He is working on the farm of Al WADDLE, who runs a dairy near Burlingame. He says they have forty cows and lots of calves and sell their whole mile product in Burlingame. The "Peacock Club" has an outing on Sunday, visiting Dragoon creek in search of relics of the Indians. Two graves were opened and a number of bones found, but of little value, being badly decayed. A few trinkets consisting of a quantity of earthen beads, a sleigh bell, a brass ear ring, a clay pipe, and a flint arrow head were found. The members of the party desire to return thanks to Mr. Theodore TYNER for permitting them to trespass on his land, and to Mr. L. J. ELLIS for favors extended.
