The Burlingame Independent Osage County Thursday August 5, 1886 W.B. DAVIS has a very spirited horse and while out driving Saturday evening, the animal scared at a hog, and broke a shaft about ten inches from the point. Under the stimulus of this fracture stirking his side, the horse ran and became almost unmanageable, but Mr. Davis drove up against the Schuyler stone barn without injury, and the horse was secured.
