    1. [KSOSAGE] Death: Eugene H. MOORE
    2. Jim Laird
    3. The Carbondale Independent Osage County Thursday August 2, 1883 Died, at his late residence in this city, on Saturday evening, July 28, 1883, Eugene H. MOORE in the thirty-sixth year of his age. This death comes very sudden, although deceased had been quite sick for a long time, but had been able to be out for some time, and was on the street the morning of his death, and his sudden taking off attributed to dropsy of the heart, he having been a sufferer with dropsy for a number of years, in fact has never had good health since he recovered from an attack of malignant scarlet fever, at the age of two years. He however has always made a gallant struggle for life. Deceased was born in Philadelphia, and removed with his father to Auburn, Kansas, and then here being engaged in business with him. He was married, and leaves a wife and three children, the eldest of whom is not yet eight years old, to mourn his loss, as well as numerous relatives and friends. His funeral took place on Monday from his late residence and was quite largely attended.
