The Carbondale Independent Osage County Thursday September 13, 1883 Died, at his home in Elk township, on Monday, Sept. 10, 1883, Mr. Joseph LAW, at an advanced age. Mr. Law was well and widely known and respected, and his death comes like a shock to all, as he had only been sick a few days. He was esteemed so well that he has been chosen as Justice of the Peace in his district for a long time without opposition, and is one of the oldest settlers in the county. All sympathize with his bereaveed widow and relatives.
