The Carbondale Independent Thursday November 27, 1883 Jas. DICKENSHEETS is now putting in his fourth forge, which will make his shop second to none in the State. Mr. F.A. YOUNG, formerly of Bradford, Ills., now of Fontinel, Iowa, is visiting old friends in Carbondale and vicinity. A tailor in the employ of Mr. WENING decamped on last Saturday night with some sixty dollars of other people's money. W.A.R. WHITE informs us that the rotary force pump of which he has the agency, takes like wild fire everywhere. It would be well for those who contemplate buying a pump to call on Mr. White and see it work. A house was picked up and moved through town one day last week without even disturbing the preparations for dinner.
