Burlingame.--Mrs. Mettie WELLS, 87, a lifelong resident of Burlingame, died Wednesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Alvin BRIGGS, of Osage City. Born Sept. 22, 1873, in Burlingame, she was a member of the Pleasant Valley Grange. Survivors include a son, Roy Wells of Overbrook; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Walter BURKETT, of Burlingame. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Burlingame Federated Church with burial in Burlington Cemetery. Carey Funeral of Burlingame is in charge. (Typed as printed in newspaper.)
