He had crossed the switch track going home, and stepped upon the main track to watch an engine that was on the side track coupling some cars, when the passenger from the east almost ran him down. A brakeman on the freight train took in the situation and got to him just in time to push him off. Uncle Billy is hard of hearing and near ?? years of age, which was the cause of his apparent carelessness. It was a very lucky escape. (Note: age is unreadable.)
