The County Courier Thursday September 8, 1893 Ed. ELLIS and family, who have been visiting in Iowa the past three weeks, returned Tuesday. Mr. Ellis says the corn in Iowa, at least two thirds of the state, is about like it is here. Mr. Chas. VAWTER has a girl at their house about two weeks old, and Chas is as happy as a "clam at high tide." (Wakarusa.) J.T. SNYDER is putting up a fine lot of hay on his farm east of A.M. WILLIAMS. By-the-way there is a big hay crop in this vicinity, and the weather has been all that could be desired to put up. (Wakarusa.) James STEWART, who has been on the sick list, is able to set up once more. (Wakarusa.) Mr. John SNYDER has built a new coal house in Wakaursa, and is now in good shape to handle coal. Mr. M. ROCKEY and wife is here visiting Mrs. R.'s parents, Mr. and Mrs. James DUNCAN. (Wakarusa.)
