The Topeka Daily Capital Saturday March 23, 1968 Vawter Child Funeral Set For Sunday. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Carbondale High School for Frances Ann VAWTER, 11, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Vawter, Carbondale, who died Thursday in a Topeka hospital where she had been re-admitted Feb. 23. She had leukemia. She was born Dec. 15, 1956, in Topeka and had spent most of her life in the Carbondale community. She had attended Carbondale Elementary School. Besides her parents, survivors include two sisters, Donna Vawter and Dora Lee Vawter, both at home; a brother, Dale Vawter, at home; a half-brother, Richard SMERCHEK, at home; and grandparents, Mrs. Mamie MERCER, Carbondale and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Vawter, Carbondale. Burial will be in Burlingame Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Amercian Cancer Society. Carey Funeral Home, Burlingame, is in charge of arrangements.
