The Carbondale Independent Osage County Thursday May 3, 1883 Married, at the residence of J.W. DIAMOND, in this city, on Tuesday, May 1st, by the Reverend ELLERY of Topeka, Mrs. Alta THOMAS, to Dr. W.H. BIRCHMORE. The ceremony was a very quiet affair, but few guests being present, and the close of May day so happily begun, the parties simply took a carriage ride into the country. The happy couple have the best wishes of all our people for their future, with the hope that they will continue to make Carbondale their home. The Independent tenders hearty congratulations, and expresses thanks for a generous supply of wedding cake.
