The Carbondale Independent Osage County Wednesday August 10, 1882 Thanks. On last Saturday evening, the Lyndon Cornet band, headed by its efficient leader, Prof. Jas. BAIN, made their appearance on our streets, and disbarred sweet music for the people, after which they serenaded some of our principal places and people, so that music was in the air until a late hour, when the boys wended their way home followed by the good wishes of every body, and the hope that they will come again soon. Among the members who were here we found, D. INGRAHAM, Tony RICHARSON, T.E. DEMPSTER, Fred JENNESS, Wm. WEST, Robt. MILLER, Geo. MILLER, L.M. ROTHE, Ed WHITE, N. KIRBY, C. WHITMAN, Jas. BAIN, the leader, and our fellow townsman, Lew. DANHAUER. The boys play well and wear a very neat uniform, and are on the high road to success. They will blow at the State Fair in September.
