    3. The Journal Free Press Osage County Wednesday August 8, 1945 Well Know Burlingame Woman Dies. Mrs. Clyde HOOVER, 52, of Burlingame, died Friday morning, having suffered a stroke of paralysis. She leaves one son, Alfred, who is in Fort Riley. Her husband preceded her in death. Funeral services were held from the Lee Funeral Home in Burlingame Sunday afternoon and burial made in the Burlingame cemetery.

Dale LOHMEYER, of Topeka, entered the Christ Hospital and underwent a major operation Tuesday and as we go to press he is recovering satisfactorily. His mother and aunt, Mrs. Gus Lohmeyer, of Osage City, and Mrs. Rees LEWIS, of Arvonia, spent Tuesday at the hospital.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Redenbaugh are employed at the Pauline Supply Depot and after a short honeymoon trip are at home at 500 East Eighth street, Topeka, Kans.

    3. The Journal Free Press Osage County Wednesday July 25, 1945 Evans--Strait. Mr. and Mrs. Mark EVANS announce the marriage of their daughter, Margaret Ann to Pfc. Keith L. STRAIT, son of the late R.E. Strait of Keosauqua, Iowa. The wedding took place in the parlor of the First Baptist church at Topeka Sunday afternoon, July 22, at 12:45 o'clock. Rev. Arlon Heydon read the double ring marriage ceremony before a fire place decorated with palms, pink gladiolia and fern. The couple were unattended. Mrs. Vernon Flaming played, "I Love Thee," "Because," "Orange Blossoms," Lohengrins' Wedding march and during the ceremony she played, "I Love You Truly." Immediately following the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Mark EVANS, parents of the bride, entertained with a wedding dinner at the Hotel Jayhawk for the following guests: Pfc. and Mrs. Keith L. Strait, Mr. and Mrs. K.T. Thatcher of Kansas City, Miss Eleanor EASTBERG, Miss Phyllis Jean JOHNSON and Mrs. S.J. THATCHER, of Topeka, Mrs. Robert EVANS, Mr. and Mrs. Mark EVANS and daughters of Osage City. Following the dinner the bridal couple left for a short honeymoon trip. Upon their return they will visit friends and relatives at Osage City and Topeka after which the couple will be at home at El Paso, Texas, where he is stationed.

Mrs. Flossie SEXTON was assisted by Mrs. Claud MORTON in entertaining a small group at the Sexton home Tueday afternoon in honor of Mrs. Wade K. RAMSEY, who with her two children, of Miriam, were visiting here. A social time was enjoyed and a delicious lunch was served by the hostesses. Besides the honor guest those present were Mrs. Mary WILLIAMS, Mrs. Emma ELDER, Mrs. J.H. FAUROT, Mrs. Ida GORHAM, and the two hostesses.

M.M.2-c USN, who has been serviing overseas about two years and is home on leave. Mrs. M.T. BERRY and son, Floyd and wife of Emporia also visited in the Woolery home one day recently.

    3. The Journal Free Press Osage County Wednesday July 11, 1945 Lebo Woman Dies. Funeral services were held at the Lebo Methodist church Friday afternoon at 2:30 for Mrs. W.W. JONES, who passed away July 2, 1945, after a lingering illness of 8 months. Interment was made in the Lincoln cemetery. She was born October 27, 1882, at Peterton near Osage City. She was married to Waldo W. Jones, October 7, 1903, who survives her and also three children; Misses Melba and Dorothy JONES of Arkansas City and Cpl. Lloyd JONES who is in the signal corps somewhere in the Philippines. One brother, Dr. George H. Jones, of Kansas City, also survives. She was a member of the Lebo Methodist church and the Royal Neighbors.

JONES and daughter and Mr. and Mrs. SMITH of Kansas City spent Sunday with Mrs. JONES' brother, Mr. and Mrs. Will DAVIS.(Peterton.) Sgt. and Mrs. J.W. CAMPBELL of Ft. Leavenworth, were visiting here last week in the home of Sgt. Campbell's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.F. CAMPBELL. Mr. and Mrs. G.W. RANDALL of Lombard, Ill., came Thursday and visited until Saturday in the home of his brother, W.P. RANDALL and wife.

    3. The Journal Free Press Osage County Wednesday July 11, 1945 Corry W. Smith of Eskridge Is Dead. Corry W. SMITH, retired farmer, of Eskridge, died Sunday morning, July 8, at his home there. He was born September 1, 1870 at Unionville, Mo., and came to Kansas with his parents when he was a small child. He was married January 15, 1896, to Ollie FAULKNER. Surviving are the widow; sons, Clynton, Clayton and Glenn of Eskridge; daughters, Mrs. Gladys KLINE and Mrs. Blanche PETERSON, Eskridge; brothers, R.L. SMITH, of Topeka, B.E. SMITH, of Portland, Ore., and J.A. SMITH, of Ajo, Ariz.; sisters, Mrs. Clemetta McKITTRICK, Houston, Texas, Mrs. Isabel ROTH, Burlingame, Calif., and MRs. Aiddie PULLEY, Prescott, Ariz. Funeral services were held at the Eskridge Methodist church Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, the Rev. Frank L. Page conducting the services. Burial was made in the Wilmington, Cemtery near Harveyville.
