Author: cjlaird Surnames: Jeffries, Jenks, Slack Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.kansas.counties.osage/555/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I am looking for information about a death that apparently took place in Quenemo. Would like to find a death notice or obituary, if such exists, and would be very excited to discover a copy of the funeral home record that indicates the disposition of his remains - e.g., where he was sent for burial. The name I am researching is Elmer E. Jenks. He was a doctor, and had just published a book of some kind. He seems to have died on or about 27 Dec. 1920, and the data I've found indicates he died at Quenemo, Osage county KS. I don't know what he was doing in Osage county - whether he moved there, had business there, or was just passing through - but would like to find some confirmation that the event occurred where and when other sources indicate it did. The name of his (ex) 1st wife was Mattie Slack Jenks, and their two sons were Orlo L and Welcome A Jenks. The name of his 2nd wife was Viola Jeffries, and their son was Elmer B. Jenks. Thank you for any assistance - Claudia Glass Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
