They plan to spend the latter part of the week visiting relatives in Emporia.

Little David LOHMEYER, 2 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. McKinley Lohmeyer, was stricken by infantile paralysis the later part of last week. We are glad to report, however, that it is a mild form and he is resting easily at this time.

John Robert EVANS, son of Jack Evans of Grand Junction, Colo., and grandson of Mrs. Robert Evans of this city arrived Sunday for a days visit with her and other relatives. John is a student at the Yale University. A picnic was held in his honor at the farm of Mark Evans Sunday noon. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Keith STRAIT of Wichita, Lois, Mary Lou and Ruth Evans of Topeka, Mr. and Mrs. Joe JOHNSON and family and Mr. and Mrs. Mark Evans and two daughters and Mrs. Robert Evans. John returned the same day, leaving Kansas City by plane.

They were on their way from Osawatomie to Herrington. Mrs. Jack Smith is a niece of Mrs. Granstrom. Miss Coleen JONES of Kansas City spent the weekend with her grandmother, Mrs. Robert CAHILL. Mrs. Cahill returned with her to Kansas City where she will spend a few weeks visiting relatives.

    3. I've "rescued" an old photograph identified as Helen STEGER which was taken at the Harry Ford Studio in Lyndon, Kansas. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's with Helen likely about 2-3 years old at the time. I am hoping to locate someone from Helen's family so that this wonderful old photograph can be returned to its rightful place with family. GOLDSMITH of Admire, Kans., announce the marriage of their youngest daughter, Beulan Irene to Pfc. Warren L. MOORE only son of Mr. and Mrs. R.E. Moore of Bushong, Kans. The wedding took place at 6:20 o'clock Saturday evening, May 11, at the Oak Park Methodist church at San Antonio, Texas. The ceremony was performed by Rev. A.P. Shirkey, pastor of the church. The bride is a graduate of Admire Rural High School class of 1942 and for the past three years has been employed at telegraph operator by the Santa Fe and Missouri Pacific Railroads. The groom is a graduate of Bushong Rural High School, class of 1942 and has been in the Army the last 22 months. Returning from the Pacific in January is now stationed at Ft. Sam Houston, Texas with the 4th Army Mobile Unit. The couple were attended by Ernest Olivier of North Dakota and Edward Topi of New York.

The marriage took place at the Grace Lutheran church Saturday evenig at 8:30 p.m., May 18. The Rev. Ruben Kron officiating. The bride was becomingly dressed in a beige linen dress with brown accessories. She was attended by her sister, Mrs. Alvin JANKE and Mr. Janke acted as best man. Miss Margaret Ann MOORE was also present at the wedding. The bride is a graduate of the Reading High School and has been a very successful teacher at Kibbe school the last three years. Mr. Booth was graduated from Lebo High school and has recently been discharged from the armed forces. The young couple has gone to housekeeping on their farm southwest of town.

He recently purchased property in the northeast part of Osage City, where the couple will make their home.     3. The Topeka Daily Capital Thursday November 11, 1965 Iona Turvey Is Dead at 67; Rites Friday. Burlingame.--Mrs. Iona Mae TURVEY, 67, Burlingame, died Wednesday morning in a Topeka hospital. She was born May 7, 1898, in Burlingame and had been a resident here all her life. She was a member of the Federated Church. She is survived by her husband Walter Turvey of the home; one daughter, Mrs. John SUTHERLAND, Manhattan; two sisters, Elenor FOSTER, Claude, Tex., and Marjorie BIGOLA, Osage City; three brothers, Joe FOSTER, Miltonvale; Jim Foster, Burlingame, and George Foster, Claude, Tex.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Burlingame Federated Church with burial in the Burlingame Cemetery. Contributions maybe made to the Cancer Society. Carey Funeral Home, Burlingame, is in charge of arrangements.
