As we go to press we learn of the death of Mrs. Margaret DAVIS which occured this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Raymond MICKELSON, living southwest of Lyndon. Mrs. Davis has been in poor health for some time and since returning from the hospital about five weeks ago had been cared for in the Mickelson home. She had made her home for a number of years south of Osage City with her son, Roscoe Davis and family.

Mr. and Mrs. Wesley STEINHOFF of 114 Union, Council Grove, Kansas, announce the marriage of their daughter, Hazel to Mr. John Reid LEWIS of Mansfield, Pennsylvania. The marriage took place at the home of her parents. The single ring ceremony was performed by Chaplain John Kellison before a background of ferns. The bride wore a soft crepe gown of turquoise blue with white accessories and a corsage of gladiolas. She was attended by Miss Delilah Manaire of Lubbuck, Texas, who was gowned in a pale green crepe and wore a corsage of pink rose buds. Mr. Thomas Wolverton, a close friend, acted as best man for Mr. Lewis. The brides mother wore a blue printed Benberg sheer with a corsage of glanfellia dubonnet blossoms. Guests at the wedding included Mr. and Mrs. J.L. Zook, Miss LaVerne Regenold, Mr. and Mrs. Eric Anderson and LaRue, all of Osage City; Miss Delilah Manaire of Lubbock, Texas; Mr. Thomas Wolverton of Manhattan, Kans.; Miss Rosetta Steinhoff of Topeka, and Mr. and Mrs. E.M. Keener and MIss Alice Steinhoff of Council Grove.

Davis, Sr., and Mr. Henry Davis of Buffalo, New York, a brother of Mr. Davis, Sr., spent the week in the Jake CHRISTESEN home.

The doctors who have been giving him treatments say that he is responding to them very well. We all hope he will soon be up and around again.

TEEL, son of the Rev. and Mrs. J.F. Teel, of Shubert, was soleminized Sunday, August 4, at two o'clock in the afternoon at the Union Baptist church in Stella, Neb. The double ring ceremony was read by the grooms father. The couple will make their home in Fairview, Kans., where they will teach in the high school this fall. Guests at the wedding from this vicinity were Mr. and Mrs. Lee Lohmeyer of Osage City and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Snyder of Admire.

Burlingame.--Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Federated Church here for Sam Marshall HUNT, 84, Burlingame, who died Sunday at an Overbrook rest home. He was born March 28, 1881 at Burlingame. He lived 25 years at Prague, Okla., where he was a jeweler. He returned to Burlingame in 1931 and operated a jewelry store at Burlingame until he retired in 1962. He was a member of the Federated Church and Masonic Lodge No. 79, AF&AM. Besides his wife, survivors include a son, Bill Hunt, Bethel. Masonic graveside services will be at Burlingame Cemetery. Carey Funeral Home at Burlingame is in charge of arrangements.

She was a former resident of Osage City, living here for the greater part of her life. She has lived in Topeka the last four years. Funeral services will be held from the McElfresh Mortuary at 2:30 Saturday afternoon.

DAVIS passed away in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 82 years, 10 months and 10 days, August 10, 1946 and was laid to rest in the Osage City cemetery Wednesday, August 14. Mr. Davis was one of the pioneer residents of the community and will be remembered by many of the settlers. He leave to mourn his passing four sons, Argie C. Davis of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, Daniel C. Davis of Bessemer, Alabama, Harry C. Davis, of Bronxville, New York, and William C. Davis, Jr., of Warrenton, Virginia; one brother, Henry E. Davis, Buffalo, New York; one sister, Elizabeth Ann Davis of Chicago, Ill., two nieces, Mrs. R.H. ODMAN and Mrs. E.H. Davis of Chicago, Ill; other friends and relatives. Mr. and Mrs. R.A. Gray, Mrs. Clyde Crumb, Miss Essie Williams and Miss Jane Gray of Pittsburg, Kans., Mr. and Mrs. W. Strunk and Mrs. Etta Niells of Topeka, Kans., Mr. and Mrs. Thomas DAVIS of Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Jesse BETHUXERN of Emporia, and Mr. and Mrs. W.H. DAVIS of Emporia. The above out of people were in attendacne at the funeral. Services were held this Wednesday afternoon at four o'clock at the McElfresh mortuary with Rev. J.H. Faurot in charge. Masonic graveside services were conducted by Signal Lodge No. 141 of Osage City of which he was a former member.

The Topeka Daily Capital Monday November 11, 1965 Marie Schoepflin. Lyndon.--Mrs. Marie (Mae) SCHOEPFLIN, 77, died Sunday in her home here. She was born Nov. 16, 1887 four miles west of Quenemo. She lived in Osage County 76 years. She was a member of the Danish Lutheran Church. She was married to Harve Schoepflin Sept 30, 1910 at Lyndon. Besides her husband, survivors include three sons, Erwin Schoepflin, Lyndon, Niel Schoepflin, Reseda, Calif., and Harve Schoepflin, Jr., Salina; a sister, Mrs. Sadie GATES, Lyndon; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First United Presbyterian Church at Lyndon. Burial will be in the Danish Cemetery, 4 1/2 miles north of Melvern. Shaffer Mortuary at Lyndon is in charge of arrangements.
