The groom is a well to do farmer, highly spoken of in the community in which he lives. The bride is one of Prairie Center's most charming young ladies.

The Osage County Courier Osage County Friday December 8, 1893 Married.--In Lincoln township, Sunday, Nov. 19, Mr. C.C. EVERSTON and Miss Lavina McGHEE. On the following day the married pair and their relatives had an old fashioned infair at the home of the groom's parents, with just such a dinner as but few can provide. For the groom's special benefit a course of baked 'possum capped the menu.
The Osage County Courier Osage County Friday December 8, 1893 Miss Nettie E. MONTGOMERY, daughter of W.W. Montgomery, of this township, was married on Saturday afternoon, November 25th, to Mr. Ed. L. PEET, Editor of the Dassel Anchor, published at Dassel, Minnesota. Judging from the appearance of Mr. Peet's paper Miss Montgomery has a husband who is a good newspaper man. He has also shown excellent judgement in securing a wife.

The Osage County Courier Osage County Friday December 1, 1893 Mrs. Eva Jane ARMSTRONG died at her home five miles northeast of Lyndon, on Tuesday, November 14th, after a long and severe illness, from cancer.
The Osage County Courier Osage County Friday December 1, 1893 Patrick CAMPBELL, assistant postmaster at Scranton, met with a serious accident last Saturday. He was going to Topeka and as the Santa Fe train pulled out from the station, he went to get on the platform of the car when in some way he missed his hold and fell under the car and the train passed over his right leg cutting it off just below the knee. Later--Mr. Campbell died Tuesday morning from the effects of the accident, and the funeral services and burial was on Wednesday.
The Osage County Courier Osage County Friday November 17, 1893 Died, Wednesday morning, Nov. 16th at 7:30 o'clock, Mr. Milton H. GALE, aged 75 years, 9 months and 28 days. Mr. Gale, it will be remembered, accidentally broke one of his legs some six weeks ago, which on account of his age he never recovered, and he has been gradually growing worse ever since, until death mercifully ended his suffering. Note: There is more to this obituary but on my copy the rest is unreadable.
The Osage County Courier Osage County Friday November 17, 1893 Mr. David ROOT, aged 59 years, died at his home in this city, on last Friday morning, November 3rd, of heart disease. Mr. Root was stricken suddenly but a few days before his death. It was at once evident that the end was near and the members of the family who reside aboard were gathered about him to be with him in his last hours.
