    3. The Melvern Review Thursday September 1, 1921 M.J. PLOWMAN and family of Jennings, Oklahoma, enjoyed their home coming trip in more ways than one. Returning from Topeka they were met with five generations of relation, had a big feast, and were presented with a beautiful silver set. Mr. Plowman remembered the Review with a call and a dollar. Mrs. Edna DOOTY received word that her mother was very ill and left Wednesday to be at her bedside. Miss Thelma JONES has been helping Mrs. Roy WATSON for a few weeks.

Cal SMITH who came back to the picnic had the good fortune to meet his nephew, Marion SMITH here with the Good Sameritans, whom he had not met in thirty-five years.

    3. The Melvern Review Thursday June 23, 1921 Mr. and Mrs. George WHITE gave a party last Saturday night at their pleasant country home to their friends, both old and young. About 75 were assembled and as Booth neighborhood is famous for its social functions it is useless to add anything to that feature of the entertainment. The gallons of good home made ice cream and the splendid cake all attest the culinary art of Booth's fair ladies. The young people spent the evening playing games and the elders passing the hours in social converse until a late hour. All were glad to have been there.

The Melvern Review Thursday June 16, 1921 Mrs. Maud CRAWFORD adn husband are intending to move from Pawhuska to Muscogee, Okla., and while Mr. Crawford is getting the property ready, Mrs. C. and one of their sons will remain here with her mother, Mrs. KELSEY. Mrs. Geogetta CAMPBELL of Chanute, has been here over a week visiting her sister, Mrs. Edna DOOLY. When we met Mrs. Campbell Saturday night and learned that she had been here over a week and we had given it no mention, we felt as tho we should apologize, as Miss Georgetta was a 100% Melvernite.

PETTY's car and all were trying to phone insurance Agents next morning. Mr. and Mrs. T.W. WHITE and family from south-east of Waverly, spent Sunday with D.A. WINGERTS.

They will make their home on the Black Cat ranch. Mrs. John Sschrader gave a miscellaneous shower Wednesday evening for the bride.

He reports her improving. Grandma PLOWMAN was 85 the 29th and had intended to celebrate at her daughters near Lyndon, but the rain preventing, she celebrated at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joe ALLISON.

    3. The Melvern Review Osage County Thursday April 21, 1921 J.P. Paulsen. J.P. PAULSEN was born in Denmark, June 24th, 1852, died at Lyndon, Kansas, April 5th, 1921, age 68 years, 9 months, and 11 days. He united with the Lutheran Church in his boy hood days. Feb. 8th, 1872, he was married to Anna Botilda DUMM. In June 1874 they came to America and settled in New Jersey, living there for ten years. In the year 1885 they came to Kansas locating on a farm near Lyndon where they have lived ever since. To this union were born six children, four of whom survive him. He leaves to mourn, a wife, Mrs. Anna Crawford, of Melvern; Peter Paulsen and Mrs. Minnie FRANKLIN, of Lyndon, a sister, Mrs. Neils JENSEN, of Michigan Valley and thirteen grandchildren and a host of friends and neighbors.(From the Peoples Herald.)

    3. The Melvern Review Thursday April 21, 1921 Mrs. Will PLOWMAN returned to Kansas City Saturday morning to take further treatment and expects to be gone a couple of weeks. Charlie DAVIS was in town between trains, Wednesday on business. Mrs. Elmer CRAWFORD returned Thursday night from Kansas City after undergoing an operation, feeling very weak but getting along nicely.
