But trying all the census search tricks I know, I can't find them in the 1880 US census. In particular I don't find them in Osage Co., KS. Do you know where they are located in the 1880 census? Author: mickmickel Surnames: Stout Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.kansas.counties.osage/567.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Some info; Stout, Henson L, b. 13 Jan 1827, d. 29 Apr 1912 -- Stout, Rebecca E, b. 1834, d. 1920 -- Buried Burlingame Cemetery, Burlingame, KS US Census, 1900 shows Henson S. Stout, b. Jan 1827 in W. VA, and Rebeka Stout, b. Sept 1834 in W. VA, with one son in household, Oliver E. Stout, b. Jun 1877 in KS. I think these are the persons you're seeking. When I was a boy my doctor was Dr. Niles Stout. There is a reasonable chance he was a grandson of these folks (if not perhaps otherwise related). If we can establish this connection, I can most likely get you in contact with Dr. Stout's descendants. I went to school with several of his children.
