The Melvern Review Osage County Thursday July 19, 1923 Mrs. Aaron Moore Dies. Mrs. Aaron MOORE who came from Idaho some time ago for her health died at the Mary ALLISON home at 10:00 o'clock Wednesday forenoon. The home in Idaho was notified and instructions came to bury her here. The funeral was held Thursday and burial made in the Melvern cemetery. ============== Same newspaper, July 26, 1923. Maude HATFIELD was born October 22nd, 1872 in Schulyer county, Illinois. She came to Kansas with her parents when seven years of age. She was married to Aaron MOORE in 1896. To this union were born seven children, five girls and two boys; one girl dying in infancy. She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, two sons, and two daughters, of Meriden, Idaho; Mrs. Charlotte BARTLET of Jerome, Idaho; Mrs. Bertha SHIRLEY, of Melvern; an aged father and mother of Meriden, Idaho; three sisters, Mrs. Mary HILL of Oroville, Wash.; Mrs. Bell BELLAMY, of Wash., and Mrs. Grace MASON of Emporia.

The Melvern Review Thursday July 12, 1923 Mrs. Edd HARPER and children of Topeka have been here the past ten days at the home of her mother, Mrs. May ROCERTS.(Note: Typed as printed in newspaper.) Mr. and Mrs. R. W. SMITH and Mrs. John McNABB and baby enjoyed the early Sunday evening with Mrs. Cornelia COLYAR on the shady lawn. W.F. JONES motored to Emporia last Friday evening, bringing Miss Edith McMULLEN and Mrs. Claude GOLDSMITH over to our home-talent play.
The Melvern Review Osage County Thursday June 28, 1923 Mrs. T.J. Plowman. Hanna Catherine STRUNK born in Mifflin county, Penn., April 29, 1836. She was married to J.T. PLOWMAN at the same place August 4th, 1853. To them were born nine children, eight of whom survive her. She came to Kansas in 1871 and has lived in Melvern ever since. Her husband J.T. Plowman, passed away in March, 1914. Mrs. Plowman died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William ALLISON. She was eighty-seven years of age. There survive her five daughters, and three sons; forty grandchildren, fifty-six great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held from the Methodist church, Rev. J.R. Wood officiating, and interment made in the Melvern cemetery. ===== Chas. Plowman and his sister, Mrs. REBEN, of Iowa, came Tuesday for their mother's funeral.

The Melvern Review Thursday June 21, 1923 Plymouth.(Late for last week.) Mr. and Mrs. PRESTON visited at Mrs. Amy SCHRADERS Sunday. Ernest SHIRLEY who has typhoid is doing as well as can be expected. Mrs. Aaron MOORE and her sister, Mrs. Grace MASON arrived from Idaho Saturday evening. They will live at Mrs. Mary ALLISONS and Dr. KIERULFF will treat Mrs. MOORE who has been very ill for months past.

WHITE were in Lyndon and Mr. White was appointed as Administrator of th estate of Marion SMITH, his father-in-law. W.F. JONES went to Emporia Saturday night spending Sunday there.

The Melvern Review Osage County Thursday May 24, 1923 Marion Smith. Marion SMITH was born in Putnam Co., Mo., March 12th, 1861. Departed this life May 20th, 1923, age 62 years, 2 months and 8 days. He moved with his parents to Kansas in 1875 and has resided in Osage Co., most of the time since then. He was a believer in an all ruling Providence and Savior of the world. He was married to Jane WHITE, Feb. 22nd, 1886. To this union 6 children wre born. Two dying in infancy. He leaves to mourn his loss one daughter, Mrs. E.B. White, three sons, Alva, Marion, and Manley, one brother, and four sisters. Funeral services were conducted from the Methodist church, Rev. E.T. Lacey officiating and interment made in the Waverly cemetery.

The Melvern Review Thursday Maay 24, 1923 Mrs. Aletha Dooty OLLIVER of Joplin, Mo., atended the graduating exercises at Minneopolis, Kansas, last week and returning stopped to visit her mother Mrs. LIVINGSTON and the IREY relation a few days. Mrs. OLLIVER taught English in the Minneopolis High School two years ago.

The Melvern Review Osage County Thursday March 8, 1923 Georgetta Campbell Dies Suddenly. Mrs. Georgetta CAMPBELL, aged 26 years, 11 months and two days, wife of Joseph L. Campbell, died shortly after 2 o'clock February 25 at the Wilson county hospital of complications following an attack of the flu. The sudden death of Mrs. Campbell leaves two children, Joseph Jr. and Bettie motherless, and casts a spell of gloom over the entire community for Mrs. Campbell has lived most of her life in this community and was known as a fine specimen of intelligent and talented womanhood. She was the daughter of J.E. McINTOSH of this city. She also leaves to mourn her death, two sisters, Mrs. Joe DOOTY of Melvern and Mrs. Earl HOSS of Pittsburg, Kan. Her mother and two brothers are deceased. Funeral services were held the 26th from the Methodist church of which the deceased was an active member.Services were conducted by Rev. J.O. Borton, and burial made in the city cemetery. Georgetta McINTOSH was united in marriage to Joseph CAMPBELL July 18th, 1917, and has made her home in Neodesha ever since, rearing her family here and joining in the social activities of the city. Her loss will be keenly felt in this city.--Neodesha Daily Sun.
