    3. The Carbondale Independent Osage County Wednesday August 10, 1882 An Old Timer Gone. Died at his home, on the Dragoon, on Saturday, August 6, 1882, Mr. Burgess WORRALL, in the seventy-seventh years of his age. Mr. Worrall came to Kansas from Ohio in 1868, and settled near Lawrence in Douglas county, where he remained until 1869, when he removed to the place where he resided when death overtook him. He leaves a wife to mourn his loss and has four children now living, who are well known. Orrin Worrall, living at Osage City, Amos, with whom the father resided; Mrs. SEITT, living in Michigan Valley, and a married daughter living in Ohio. The deceased wa a man beloved and respected by everyone for his sterling virtues, and he will long be remembered by his friends and acquaintances.

    3. The Carbondale Independent Osage County Wednesday August 10, 1882 Thanks. On last Saturday evening, the Lyndon Cornet band, headed by its efficient leader, Prof. Jas. BAIN, made their appearance on our streets, and disbarred sweet music for the people, after which they serenaded some of our principal places and people, so that music was in the air until a late hour, when the boys wended their way home followed by the good wishes of every body, and the hope that they will come again soon. Among the members who were here we found, D. INGRAHAM, Tony RICHARSON, T.E. DEMPSTER, Fred JENNESS, Wm. WEST, Robt. MILLER, Geo. MILLER, L.M. ROTHE, Ed WHITE, N. KIRBY, C. WHITMAN, Jas. BAIN, the leader, and our fellow townsman, Lew. DANHAUER. The boys play well and wear a very neat uniform, and are on the high road to success. They will blow at the State Fair in September.

    3. The Topeka Daily Capital Friday December 23, 1960 Richland Man Dies at Age 71. Services willbe at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Methodist Church at Overbrook for Charles DESQUE, 71, of the Richland community , who died Thurday in a Topeka hospital. Burial will be in the Overbrook Cemetery. He was born on a farm east of Overbrook, Oct. 4, 1889, and lived all of his life in the Overbrook and Richland communities. He was a member of Lodge No. 62, AF&AM at Overbrook. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Eleanor Desque of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Irene Herberling of Richland and Mrs. Dorothy GOFF, of Carbondale; three brothers, John DESQUE, of Richland, J.A. Desque of Overbrook and Edward Desque, Route 1; two sisters, Mrs. Louis REILLY, 909 Oakland, and Mrs. Joe BUSH of Connersville, Ind.; three grandsons; and one granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. Baker Funeral Home of Overbrook is in charge of arrangements.
