    1. [KSNORTON] Norton Cemetery Index

    3. Hello, everyone, I have a new toy that I thought I would share with you. I just received a copy of an index to the Norton Cemetery, canvassed in July 1980 by Elaine Schwartz. The only locations I know of that have this resource are the DAR library in Washington DC, and the Mormon Church library in Salt Lake City. Anyway, I will do lookups for your families in this index. Please send your request to mailto:mad_genealogist@yahoo.com with the subject Norton Cemetery Index. In the body of the message, please give me first and last name of the person you are looking for, and an approximate time frame. A good genealogical query will include as much as you know of the five basic items: WHO (complete name), WHAT (are you seeking?), WHEN (did these folks live?), WHERE (did these folks live?) and HOW (can we reach you?). Ardie

    3. Hi Ardie. This is Judy here. I am curious about whether they got my grandparents, Socratese and Pauline Louise Gunther Schesser right or not. There are burried in Mount Olive. They had them listed as Roeders. I have talked to several people about changing it but have never gotten a reply about whether it was done or not. Would appreciate it if you could look them up and let me know. Also, is there one like that from PhillipsCounty or Decatur County? Thanks in advance for the reply. 3. Ardie Glad you got the Norton Cemetery listing. That will be a big help to those needing lookups. Judy I took a copy of your message about your grandparents not being listed right to the library this afternoon in Norton. I was meeting Walta Russ there for some other cemetery listings. Just wanted to let you know that she immediately changed it on the directory at the library and was going to give it to someone so that it could be changed on the board there at the cemetery. If you are needing a lookup in Decatur County I do have some of the cemetery listings here at home or will be glad to go the muesum if that would help. We don't have anything out on the web to help with genealogy as of yet. Here is the website for the cemetery in Phillipsburg. http://skyways.lib.ks.us/towns/Phillipsburg/city/fairview.html Sharleen
