Dear List, I am interested in the A.T. BRATTON mention as I know that I had family named BRITTAIN / BRITTON / BRATTON. All the same family but spelled all different ways. Does anyone have more information. I have MINNIE MAY EMMERSON BRITTAIN MACKINDER b: 1885 . W. DOLPH BRITTAIN ( aka WILLIAM DAVID BRITTAIN ) b: 1883 also born in Norton per obits anyhow. Also in my same line I have PAUL / STUSSY / LANE / ADAMS / BAUMGARDNER / HAYNES and I suspect DUKE also. Garner and the Almena Star newspaper with George W. Shook in 1885 jointly publishing this paper. John T. Garner and an A.T. Bratton, co-published the Beaver City Times at least in 1881. This could very well be our John T. Garner (at least the time period and the occupation match). Will research further. > > Thanks so much for your help!
Dear List: I have an extract of a paragraph from the "Andreas' History of the State of Nebraska" regarding Alcinous T. BRATTON. b. 24 Dec 1852 in Eden, Williams Co., OH. Moved to Beaver City, NE in March 1879 and became editor of the Beaver City Times, and later purchased the newspaper together with John T. Garner. Victoria, I will mail the entire article, as well as a copy of Beaver City Times front page (poor copy) showing A.T. Bratton as Publisher, to you, if you will give me your mailing address. Thanks, Darlene Garner ----- Original Message ----- From: "Victoria" <Flower2@sofnet.com> To: <KSNORTON-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, March 10, 2001 4:56 PM Subject: [KSNORTON] Bratton /Stussy / Lane / Adams / Haynes / Mackinder > Dear List, > > I am interested in the A.T.
