Ailanthus Grove had a post office from 27 May 1879 to 08 December 1879. The first postmaster was John R. Taylor. [Kansas Post Offices by Robert W. Baughman] I haven't figured out where this post office was located. One possibility is in Sand Creek Township where a John Taylor lived from 1875 - 1882.
