http://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/special/damrell/76-05-09.txt Hello everyone, Please take a few minutes to read the letter at the link above. It is the transcribed text of a letter from Jos. & May Hepler dated 1876 from West Union in Norton County. West Union post office was located about 2 1/4 miles east of Densmore. My best guess is that the mill referred to in the letter is the mill at Logan, which was established in 1874. So I'm guessing that they lived on the North Solomon about a mile from the Norton/Phillips county line. There was a mill attempted at Densmore in 1875-76, but due to a neighborhood quarrel and the suicide of its owner, it was not completed until later. In 1900, William Nye was the miller at Densmore - I have yet to discover exactly when that mill was built and/or placed into operation. Edmond also had a mill, but it was not built until 1880. If any of you have ties to this Hepler family, I'd be glad to hear more about them.
