Lee post office was established 08 May 1876 and discontinued 06 Mar 1883. The first postmaster was Willis B. Dimmick (also spelled Demick). It was originally established in Phillips County and then moved into Norton county in the northeast part of the county, somewhere near the Isaac Whitaker place, on what was once known as the Charley Linnell place. The mail was carried on horse back from Republican City, Nebraska. One mail carrier was Nat VanWinkle. Info from "Kansas Post Offices" by Robert W. Baughman and "Seventy Years in Norton County, Kansas" by D. N. Bowers.
