Charles, I don't know if this will help but I am working on the surname of Michael in Norton County. I don't know since mine doesn't end with "s" if they could be related. My family of Michael was in the Lenora, KS area. There was John Michael who married Polly Gehr. One of their children: Sylvia, my grandmother was married to Martin Wiley. I do have a lot of information about them if you would be interested in seeing if there was a connection. I can give you more information this evening when I get home from school, but thought I would send this quick message this morning. Hi Sharleen, You've probably noticed some of my other replies. My Michals not only had the "s" but it also had only an "a", and from what you mentioned, I think that we're talking about two different family lines. Too bad, I need all the help that I can get! My wife's maternal grandmother had the maiden name of Thompson. Her parents ran sheep in the northwest part of the county back in the 1870's plus. I suspect that there maybe Thompson descendants still around. Sorry that I can't help, Sharleen. Keep trying!
