He married my g aunt Caroline Albertine Mathia, whose father Theobod Mathia came to America in 1872 from Waldhambach, Bas-Rhin, Alsace, France. He married Christina Sophia Reppert, who he had known in Waldhambach in 1874. They had 3 children who lived, the above Caroline Albertine, Christina Sophia, and my grandfather Louis Mathia. I have lots of info on the Mathia family but at present am trying to research the family of John Henry Jahns. Any more info would be appeciated.
