Chris, There are several Duralls listed in the Chanute cemeteries (Elmwood and Memorial Park) at: http://www.chanute.org/Government/Departments/Cemetery/cemetery.html But I do not see Benoni Stinson Durall. You might see if the ones listed are related. At the bottom of the web pages is: City offices: Memorial Building, 101 South Lincoln, PO Box 907, Chanute, Kansas 66720 Telephone 620/431-5200 Fax 620/431-5209 Steve -----Original Message----- From: gc-gateway@rootsweb.com [mailto:gc-gateway@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of amremt@adelphia.net Sent: Monday, March 24, 2003 9:19 AM To: KSNEOSHO-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [KSNeosho] Chanute city cemetery This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Fm.2ADI/106 Message Board Post: Does anyone have the phone # or address for the Chanute city cemetery? Would they have burial records for 1881, probably for a grave with no marker? My ancestor, Benoni Stinson Durall, died on February 5th, 1881 in Chanute. I assume he would be buried in Chanute city cemetery, however not 100% positive. I have searched the tombstone records for Neosho County and cannot find him listed. I was wondering if perhaps the cemetery would keep or house records for interments that would not be listed in the tombstone record book. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Chris Durall Morgantown, WV
