Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Fm.2ADI/305 Message Board Post: Are there any local books written about the county history and it's citizens during the time period of 1887 - 1892? I am looking for Pierre Louis Charles CLERC, who immigrated from France in 1887 and lived in Kansas until 1892. The remainder of his years were spent in Jefferson County, MO, where he made a living 'making' , packaging and selling his products, such as stove polish. He did quite a business with poultry products - from feed to medications. Usually these types of things are documented in the county's history. If anyone can guide me as to where to find this information, I would appreciate it. Thank you, Kay, FL MehdiFakhar@aol.com

    3. Nope......... The surname Clerc is not listed in the index of The history of Neosho County nor Annuals of Osage Mission. These are the only two Book references pertaining to the history of St. Paul, Ks as it is known today. Both were written by W. W. Graves a local newpaper publisher. Your only other source would be newspaper microfilm that is not indexed. Sorry to say there are no volunteers to search out the data. Copies of the microfilm and a reader is available at the Osage Mision Historical Museum in St. Paul. I do have this on file: Descendants of Cler Generation No. 1 1. CLER1 was born in Switzerland.
