PAUL MEN IN ACCIDENT Tragedy Happened Sunday Night near Pittsburg-Chris Brogan Dies Death came to Chris Brogan, aged 38, of St. Paul, Kas., at Mt. Carmel hospital, in Pittsburg Monday morning, following a motor car accident eight miles northeast of Pittsburg Sunday night at 7 o'clock. Brogan was riding in a Ford car belonging to and driven by Charles Dent, a mail carrier of St. Paul, with a brother, N.J. Brogan and William Clary, also of St. Paul, when the car turned over as the driver swerved the car to the side of the road to pass another car. All of the occupants of the car were thrown violently to the ground but none were pinned beneath it. Chris Brogan was knocked unconscious and never regained consciousness. He died at 6 o'clock Monday morning. N.J. Brogan and Charles Dent were also severely injured, while mr. Clary was only slightly bruised. Clary and Chris Brogan were sitting in the rear seat. All the occupants were taken to Mt. Carmel hospital in the Ellsworth-Gruber ambulance. The motor car was a new one. The top and wind shield were shattered in the crash. The men said they were driving slowly at the time of the accident and could not explain how the car happened to turn over. Mr. Brogan was the manager of the Farmer's Union elevator at St. Paul. He is survived by his widow and several children. The body was taken to his home in St. Paul Monday morning. The funeral was held at the home tuesday. Hope this helps, Rose
Hi, I would like to know if anybody might have an address/point of contact for the people responsible for maintaining and/or keeping records at Memorial Park Cemetery. I believe I have some relations there and would like to write to see if I can find where their graves are located in the cemetery, and anything else they might have. Any hints, tips, or suggestions appreciated. Thanks. Philip Naff Indianapolis, Ind.

My great-grandfather Henry Harrison "Harry" Kollenborn disappeared near Carlyle in 1920. If anybody happens to be in any of the cemeteries around there, please have a look to see if he is there and when he died. Shortly after his disappearance, his wife relocated along with all their children to California. My great-grandfather Henry Harrison "Harry" Kollenborn disappeared around Carlyle in 1920. He left his wife, Myrtle (Boster) Kollenborn and five children (Charles, Roy, James, Emma, and Thora) for another woman. The "other woman" (don't know her name) returned to the area a week later, and Harry's vehicle was found abandoned by the Neosho river. His body was never recovered, but many surmised that the "other woman" and/or her brother or brothers (both had allegedly been convicts) had killed him for the $1,000 he had withdrawn from the bank to start his "new life". Is anything known about this case/incident? By the way, my grandfather, Albert Kollenborn, was Harry's only child with his first wife, R.L.E. "Lizzie" (Huddleston) Kollenborn, therefore not a son of Myrtle Boster. Also, does anybody know anything about the winery My great-great-great grandfather William Kollenborn had around Carlyle? It would have been late 1800s/early 1900s (he died in 1925 in Wichita).
