Liggett and family moved to Kansas City, MO, prior to 1900 and thus his death most likely occurred there as they continue to live there into the 1930 time period after his death. I am still told that the daughters were born in Shaw, KS, before they moved.

I am trying to find out what happened to Mrs. Thomas A. Brooks (a.k.a. Mary J. (May) [Estes] Brooks) who was living in Tioga Twp., Neosho Co., Kansas, with 2nd husband and 3 kids, in the 1880 census, and you tell me... Her daughter, by her first husband, Lydia Alice Estes, went to Kellogg, Iowa, where she graduated from high school in 1886 and married my great-granduncle, Edgar Rice Braley, in 1889. You really helped fill in pieces of a puzzle. Thanks! I also saw that you had posted an earlier issue of "The Chanute Times" that referred to the probate of her first husband's estate. He was Rufus Estes and he died sometime between 1867 and 1870. Just to let you know that someone else finds what you are doing is valuable.

A free family history / social history / cultural history of the United States from 1620-2006 is available at _http://www.winsite.com/bin/Info?22000000036712_ (http://www.winsite.com/bin/Info?22000000036712) . The download is a software program that I created that allows you to read the book "STILL CASTING SHADOWS: Two American Families 1620-2006" written by Blackbird Crow Raven (Spartacus O'Clare). The acknowledgment section may include the names of one or more people from this mailing list who have contributed in some way to the book. You can print the manuscripts, but beware in that case that the main document is almost 500 pages. You can send feedback, suggestions, comments, questions to either the programmer (me) or the author (Blackbird Crow Raven) from within the software program. Clay Shannon

He was in the class of 1889 at Indiana State Normal School in Terre Haute (at the time he listed his hometown as Groveland, Putnam County, Indiana). He was the son of John Wilson & Nancy I. Lewis, who married Feb. 1, 1860 in Putnam County, Indiana. They were in Floyd Township, Putnam County, Indiana for the 1870 and 1880 censuses. Charles had brothers Delana C. He is in the 1900 and 1910 censuses in Chicago. He had a wife Adela (b. Feb. 1870 in IL, d. between 1900-1910) and sons Leland A. (b. 1895 in IL) and Allen D. (b. Aug 1898 in IL). By 1911 Charles was living in Chanute, Neosho County, Kansas and according to a family tree posted online, he may have remarried to a Julia Bunyan and died in Casper, Wyoming in 1934. The Indiana Genealogical Society was given a photo of Rev. Wilson and we would like to give it to someone who is connected to the family.
