If anyone in your family came from around Caney, Tyro, Niotaze or Havana, you might try the Caney Historical Society. They have microfilm of the Caney Chronicle and a lot of other good resources. Caney Library has some good stuff too and Sunnyside Cemetery usually will let you look at their records although a lot of them were put into a book which is probably available at one of the other two places. > From: jean.lesslie@sbcglobal.net > To: ksmontgo@rootsweb.com > Date: Sat, 10 May 2008 07:38:22 -0500 > Subject: Re: [KSMONTGO] Genealogy Road trip > > Try the Kansas Room on the 2nd floor of the Independence, KS library > > and the Coffeyville library. > > > ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- > NOTE: Please do not send messages that exceed 500 KB. > My dial-up modem cannot download files that are that large > without tying up my computer for hours. > Thank you for your cooperation! > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: RAL > To: KSMONTGO@rootsweb.com > Sent: Saturday, May 10, 2008 1:47 AM > Subject: [KSMONTGO] Genealogy Road trip > > > We are planning a long Genealogy Road trip this summer which includes > Montgomery county. > > We would appreciate some suggestions on the best places in the county to > do genealogy research. > > Robin > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to KSMONTGO-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to KSMONTGO-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message _________________________________________________________________ Stay in touch when you're away with Windows Live Messenger. http://www.windowslive.com/messenger/overview.html?ocid=TXT_TAGLM_WL_Refresh_messenger_052008
