    3. The Coffeyville Daily Journal Montgomery County Thursday May 11, 1933 Two 11 year-old bicyclists, Edward Peine and Melvin CROAN, Jr., who ran away from their home at Garnett Monday night, were stopped yesterday by Chanute police, whom Edward told the two had planned to go to southern Mexico to sell bananas. Although Edward never had been in souther Mexicon, he was fairly certain bananas grew there. Their capture relieved anxiety on the part of the their respective parents, but apparently their trouble were only started, for police said they were alleged to have stolen the bicycles on which they were traveling.
