The Coffeyville Daily Journal Montgomery County Tuesday May 16, 1933 Philip Wendell BLINE, 13-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bline of Neodesha, died Saturday night in a Neodesha hospital, two hours after he had been struck by a motor car as he was riding his bicycle on U.S. highway No. 75 at the east edge of Neodesha. The driver of the car, Dale HATCLIFFE, 21, living five miles east of Neodesha, was not held as the accident was considered unavoidable. The boy had been riding his bicycle at the right-hand side of the highway, but as Hatcliffe pulled slightly toward the left to avoid the youth, the latter suddenly turned his bicycle into the car's path.
