    3. The Coffeyville Daily Journal Montgomery County Wednesday April 2, 1924 James T. COOK, 41, proprietor of the Commerical Cafe at Parson, died there last night, two hours after he had fired a bullet from a .38 caliber revolver into his left side, it is believed, with suicidal intent. He had been in poor health for some time and had worried over a recent fire, which had damaged his cafe. He came to Parsons four years ago from Missouri and is survived by his widow.
