The Coffeyville Daily Journal Montgomery County Friday April 11, 1924 Hugh Morgan METCALF, aged 80 years, died the past week at his home at Altamont. He came to Labette City in 1870 and lived in Labette county fifteen years, after which he spent thirty years in Missouri. A few years ago he located at Altamont. His wife died about six years ago and he had no children. Burial was in Wooden cemetery.
