The Independence Daily Reporter Montgomery County Thursday October 7, 1937 Mrs. Lester Brown Dies In Coffeyville Hospital. Zelpha Irene BROWN, wife of Lester Brown, of Tyro, Kansas, died this morning at 2:45 in the Southeastern Kansas hospital in Coffeyville following an illness of three weeks, which was caused from typhoid fever. Zelpha Irene STEWART was borb at Tyro, Kansas, August 31, 1917, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Stewart for many years outstanding residents of that section. Charles Stewart, her father, preceding her in death, March 4, 1935. Funeral services will be held at the Skinner Funeral home in Coffeyville Sunday afternoon at 2:30. Burial will be in the Robbins cemetery, west of Coffeyville. Surviving are: the husband, Lester Brown and baby son, Ronnie; her mother, Mrs. Florena Stewart, a brother, C.L. Stewart of Marshaltown, Iowa, and a sister, Mrs. Viro CARNES, of Coffeyville.
