Orial Esther Miller-Pursley, 88, of Independence, died Saturday night at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center where she had been undergoing treatment. Mrs. Miller was born July 24, 1911, at Moore, Okla., to George Huston and Grace (King) Huston. She grew up in Oklahoma and attended school there. She moved to California in 1931, and later to the Cherryvlae area where she had resided the past 35 years. Mrs. Miller was a member of the Eagles and Veterans of Foreign Wars ladies' auxiliaries of Independence. Survivors include a son, Glenn ARMSTRONG of Truth or Consequences, N.M.; one daughter, Donnell NUNN of Carson City, Nev.; one brother, Virgil Huston of Atwater, Calif.; one sister, Fay LUTHEY, of Merced, Calif.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Potts Chapel, Cherryvale. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, also at Cherryvale. Friends may call at Potts Chapel until 5 p.m. Tuesday, and after 8 a.m. Wednesday.
