The Independence Daily Reporter Montgomery County Thursday October 7, 1937 Mrs. Lucy Young Dies At Home of Son Here After Year's Illness. Mrs. Lucy YOUNG, 72, died Wednesday afternoon at 5:30 at the home of her son, W.P. SMITH, 1015 West Pine, following a stroke of paralysis she suffered a year ago. Mrs. Young came here a year ago from Austin, Tex., to make her home with her son. She was born and reared in Travis county, Tex. Her husband died several years ago and only the one son survives. The body is in the Jackson mortuary pending funeral arrangements.
