The Independence Daily Reporter Montgomery County Wednesday October 6, 1937 Mrs. E.J. Taggart Dies At Home in Elk City. Mrs. E.J. TAGGART, 71, a resident of Montgomery county for many years, died at her home near Elk City this afternoon after an illness of five years. Surviving are four children, G.H. Taggart of Elk City, who made his home with his mother; Ernest Taggart of Indianola, Iowa; Earl Taggart of Washington; and Mrs. W.C. BURKE of Independence. The body was removed to the Denbo Funeral home in Elk City and no funeral arrangements have been made at this time.
