The Independence Daily Reporter Montgomery County Monday September 27, 1937 Mrs. F. Secrest. Funeral Services Tuesday at Tyro Church. Frances Ellen SECREST, 75, a resident of the Tyro community for 22 years, died Sunday morning at 6 o'clock at the D.A. Parsons home, four miles north of Tyro, after having been ill for the past three weeks. Frances Ellen CRIM was born March 11, 1862 in Knox County, Missouri. She attended school in Lafayette county near Odessa, Missouri. On October 28, 1883, at Odessa, Missouri, she was united in marriage ot W.L. EDMUNDS wo died in 1888. In 1892 she was married the second time to F. G. SECREST at Fort Scott. Mr. Secrest died in 1915. It was following Mr. Secret's death that she moved to the Tyro vicinity. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternon at 2:30 form the Tryo Christian church with Rev. L.R. Hobert in charge. Burial will be in the Evergreen cemetery at Fort Scott under the direction of the Joe Carinder Funeral home of Caney. The body was to be removed to the Parsons' home this evening at 6 o'clock. Surviving are two sisters and three brothers. They are: Mary E. SALING of Kansas City; Sadie E. SECREST of Coffeyville; Ed CRIM of Fort Scott; John CRIM of Wiser, Idaho, and Calvert CRIM, of Seattle, Washington. She was preceded in death by one son and one daughter. After the service at the church Tuesday the body will be returned to the Parsons' home north of Tyro, and Wednesday monring at 10 o'clock will be taken overland to Fort Scott.
