The Independence Daily Reporter Montgomery County Tuesday September 21, 1937 Maude Bishop Dies Monday. Funeral Arrangements Await Relatives Arrival. Maude BISHOP, 61, a resident of Independence for several years passed away at Mercy hospital Monday evening at 5 o'clock after having been critically ill there since Saturday. Miss Bishop was taken seriously ill last week and it was found that her appendix had ruptured and an operation was performed Saturday. She failed to respond to treatment. The body was removed to the Potts Funeral home where it is awaiting the arrival of relatives. A brother, E. Bishop of Osage Beach, Mo., is expected here this evening, as is a neice, Mrs. H.F. CARR of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Miss Bishop was a sister of the late Mrs. Minnie TRUBY, who died here a short time ago.
