    3. The Coffeyville Journal Montgomery County Thursday September 9, 1999 Perry Miller. Perry W. MILLER, 50, of Chanute, died Tuesday evening, (Sept. 7, 1999) of an apparent lightning strike near Toronto Lake. Mr. Miller was born March 16, 1949, at Parsons, to James Edward and Norma Lorrayne (Kolb) Miller. He grew up in Humboldt, and graduated from high school there. He served four years in the U.S. Navy. Later, he was employed for several years by Daniel's Construction Co. He was involved in the construction of the Wolf Creek Facility, Burlington. Mr. Miller worked for the City of Chanute water department, where he was employed for 18 years. Survivors include his parents, James and Norma Miller of rural Cherryvale. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Potts Chapel, Cherryvale. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, also of Cherryvale. Friends may call at the chapel from 3 until 8 p.m. Friday, and after 9 a.m. Saturday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m. Friday.
