Wayne SMITH of Longton was admitted this morning suffering from appendicitis. Mrs. Everett HAWTHRONE, 1105 North Penn, has been dismissed and taken to her home. J.H. BREDEHOFT, well known farmer of rural Independence, is reported today to be resting very well. Bredehoft received a fractured hip Monday evening, when a cow knocked him to the floor of the barn, while he was about his chores. Mrs. Wm. COMBS, who lives west of Independence on the Laurel street road, is reported today to be improved. Mrs. Combs is suffering from a fractured left arm, which she received Sunday, when a cow knocked her to the floor of the barn. The arm was broken between the elbow and shoulder. Murratt COPE, rural route three, has been dismissed and taken to his home. Juanita ERWIN, 523 South Thirteenth, has been dismissed. Mrs. Frank VESTAL and Mrs. J. D. HOPPER, both of Longton have been dismissed and removed to their homes.
