The Independence Daily Reporter Thursday October 28, 1937 G.W. Rogers Dies Today. End Comes After Illness of Four Years. G.W. ROGERS, 74, a resident of Independence for 22 years passed away at his home, 611 East Myrtle, this afternoon at 1:30 after an illness of four years. The body was removed to the Amos-Rodrick Funeral home. No funeral arrangements have been made. Surviving are four children, Wilbur of rural Independence, Clarence of Independence, Mrs. Frank OWEN of Tulsa and Harry Rogers of Nebraska. Mrs. Rogers preceded her husband in death September 21.
