The Independence Daily Reporter Montgomery County Tuesday October 26, 1937 Mrs. A. Bailey Dies Monday Night After Illness of One Week. Mrs. Ann BAILEY, 46, died at her home, 3 1/2 miles southwest of Independence, Monday night at 10:10 after an illness of one week. The cause of death was not disclosed. Mrs. Bailey was born in Gordo, Ala., in 1891. She had been a resident of Independence for several years. Surviving are her husband, D.E. Bailey; three sons, Geroge, Armor and Tillman of the home address; one daughter, Isabelle LITTLETON of Wichita; three brothers, Onnie JOHNSON, Richard Johnson and Quincy LIGONS of Independence; four sisters, Dollie HOWARD, Betty Mae LIGONS, Independence, Georgia JOHNSON of Okmulgee, Okla., and Juanita SLAUGHTER of Broken Arrow, Okla. The body is in the Jackson Funeral Home pending arrangements.
