Mabel YOUNG, 622, North Walnut street, reported to the police yesterday morning the theft of her under-arm bag, in which there was some chand and some letters. The bag was stolen from a house on the east side of Buckeye street and north of the belt line railroad track Saturday night, during the progress of a dance, she said.

DAVIS, 70, passed away at 10:40 o'clock this morning at the farm home west of Delaware, following an extended illness. Mr. Davis is survived by his wife, of the home address, and one daughter, Mrs. Ben THOMPSON of Branson, Mo. Funeral arrangements are pending.

    3. The Coffeyville Daily Journal Montgomery County Saturday April 13, 1935 Lupe Bustos Is Dead. Lupe BUSTOS, 17-year-old Mexican boy, died of tuberculosis at Mercy hospital at 8 o'clock last night. He had been in the hospital three weeks. The boy was a student in the Independence high school and lived with his parents in Santa Fe district. Funeral services will be held at the home at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon, with the Jackson funeral home in charge. Burial will be in Munt Hope cemetery. He is survived by his parents and five brothers and sisters.

Mr. and Mrs. Clifford CLAYTON, 1217 West Seventh street, returned home last night from Bell Memorial hospital, Kansas City, Kan., where they took their 11-months-old son, Keith, last Tuesday, after Keith had swallowed a pin, which lodged in his lung. The pin was removed and Keith is reported doing nicely.

For many years he lived in the Copan vicinity but in recent years had lived on a farm near Yates Center. His wife died two years ago and he is survived by a son, Abner and several brothers and sisters.

    3. The Coffeyville Daily Journal Montgomery County Friday April 12, 1935 Henry PIPPIN, a transient, died in a rooming house at Caney Wednesday and burial was in the Caney cemetery yesterday. A brother, Leonard Pippin, of Roff, Okla., was present for the funeral services. He had not heard from the deceased for twelve years and did not recognize him until the mustache was shaved off. The deceased had been married and had a grown daughter, but the brother said he did not know whether or not either the wife or daughter was alive.

Because of the rain, the picnic planned last evening in celebration of the eighteenth birthday anniversary of Robert YOUNG was held in the home of Miss Marguerite SHANHOLTZ, 1608 West Eighth street. Games were enjoyed throughout the evening and a refreshment course was served by Miss Shanholtz, assisted by her sister, Betty Lou Shanholtz. Mr. Young received a number of birthday gifts. A white birthday cake bearing eighteen yellow candles, was a feature of the menu. Those present were Misses Clover MILLER, Ethelyn SMITH, Grace DeTAR, Margaret REITZ, Marjorie MILLER and Marguerite Shanholtz and Messrs., Vernis MANIS, Frank MACE, Wyne MACE, and Evvie TOWNSON and the honoree.
