The Coffeyville Daily Journal Montgomery County Thursday May 4, 1933 Mrs. O.F. CARSON, a former resident of Cherryvale, died a few days ago in Omaha, Neb., where the family moved thirty years ago from Cherryvale. Mr. Carson for many years was engaged in the mercantile business at Cherryvale and also was interested in the Montgomery County National Bank there with Revilo Newton and C.C. Kincaid. Mrs. Carson is survived by five children.

Elmer may have been an orphan and grew up in the Staley and Hamilton, families. He lived in Pittsburg City, Crawford County and Independence City, Montgomery County, Kansas, then Parsons, Labette Kansas before coming to Wichita City, Sedgwick County about 1923. I'm looking for further information on the family. Elmer married a Mary E. Ostrander about 1905, possibly in Crawford or Montgomery County KS. They had a daughter, VIOLET THEADOSHA SPARKS - Birth: 16 AUG 1907 in Independence, Montgomery County, Kansas. They had son Everett A., about 1906. I'm interested in this extended family, what became of the children and if there are descendants. Violet married into the Hunt family, but was divorced. Did she remarry? Thanks! The Coffeyville Daily Journal Montgomery County Wednesday May 3, 1933 Guy E. Sheehan, a Former Coffeyville Refinery Man, Dies. Guy E. SHEEHAN, formerly employed by the Cudahy (Sinclair) refinery here, died unexpectedly Sunday afternoon in his home near Okmulgee, Okla., and funeral services and burial took place at Okmulgee yesterday. The services were attended by Mr. and Mrs. A. V. CREATH, 4 East North street, and Mrs. Creath's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.H. LARGENT, of Carthage, Mo., Mrs. Largent is a sister of Mrs. Sheehan. The Sheehans went from here to Okmulgee about ten years ago, and for a time Mr. Sheehan was employed at an Okmulgee refinery, but later moved to a farm near that city. He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. William WINKLE of Okmulgee; his mother, Mrs. Eliza Sheehan of Kansas City; a sister, Mrs. William PATTON of Kansas City, and a niece, Mrs. Jack NELSON of Independence, Mo.

Funeral services and burial were at Cherryvale today. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Miss Evelyn Doop of Moran and Mrs. Frances STAHL, of Syracuse, and one son, Harvey, of the home.

The Coffeyville Daily Journal Montgomery County Tuesday May 2, 1933 Jonas C. MATSON, 84, former Neodesha resident who left that city in 1912, died Saturday at Manhattan. Brief funeral services were held at Neodesha yesterday, and burial was in a Neodesha cemetery, beside the body of Mrs. Matson, who died twenty years ago.

The Coffeyville Daily Journal Montgomery County Tuesday May 2, 1933 Mrs. Sarah LINES, thirty years a resident of Neodesha, died there Sunday in the home of her daughter, Mrs. John HEATH. While she had been in failing health several months, a cerebral hemorrhage suffered a week ago was the immediate cause of death. The Lines family lived in Fredonia before going to Neodesha.
