The Coffeyville Daily Journal Montgomery County Tuesday May 16, 1933 Philip Wendell BLINE, 13-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bline of Neodesha, died Saturday night in a Neodesha hospital, two hours after he had been struck by a motor car as he was riding his bicycle on U.S. highway No. 75 at the east edge of Neodesha. The driver of the car, Dale HATCLIFFE, 21, living five miles east of Neodesha, was not held as the accident was considered unavoidable. The boy had been riding his bicycle at the right-hand side of the highway, but as Hatcliffe pulled slightly toward the left to avoid the youth, the latter suddenly turned his bicycle into the car's path.

The Coffeyville Daily Journal Tuesday May 16, 1933 James HARWOOD, 21, living on a farm northest of Neodesha, was bitten on a finger by a copperhead snake Saturday evening. Although his arm swelled badly and he was ill for a time, his condition now is not regarded as dangerous. Mrs. W.A. CRAWFORD of Neodesha suffered severe injuries to her right hand yesterday, when her hand was caught in a power-driven clotheswringer. While the flesh was badly mangled, no bones were broken.

The Coffeyville Daily Journal Montgomery County Tuesday May 16, 1933 Mrs. Maggie POTTER, 37 yars old, of Catoosa, Okla., died in a Tulsa hospital early Sunday from burns which she suffered from an explosion of kerosene Saturday at her home. She was pouring Kerosene on live coals when the explosion occurred. Her clothes were ignited and flames enveloped her body. She is survived by her husband, J.H. Potter, and one son, John Potter.

The Coffeyville Daily Journal Montgomery County Tuesday May 16, 1933 Orus MORGAN parked his flivver in front of the Bartlesville barber shop late yesterday, and when he returned to it applied a strong right arm to the crank. The machine had been left in high gear, and as the motor started the machine crashed throught the plate glass window of the barber shop and came to a stop; against the first chair. The shop porter was considerably bunged up. He made an unsuccessful effort to escape from the shop by the rear, despite the fact that the shop had no rear door.
