Morgan Family who lived in Montgomery County around 1920 or so. They lived in Platte Co., MO prior to going to Kansas. They had several children: Dora, Edith, Opal, and Robert. Rhonda's father James Pinckney A. Morgan (1843-1878) was a brother to my ggg-grandfather A. Andrew Morgan (1839-1921) who lived here in NC. We finally found the connection using a clue from a old photograph of Rhonda's mother, Mary V. Morgan (Stephens), that was taken back around 1866-1870. Author: ByronPeterson Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.kansas.counties.montgomery/1871/mb.ashx Message Board Post: My great-great-great-great grandfather, (Colonel) Caleb May (middle name unknown), lived in Atchison County, Kansas, from 1854-69. He was the first settler of the town of Pardee, Kansas (Oct. 1854). Caleb died in Eustis, FL in 1888 (death date unknown). His wife (Margaret Parnell May) also died in Eustis on Oct. 24. 1884. I would appreciate any help in finding an obituary for Caleb. Since he was a prominent citizen of Kansas his obituary may have ran in a Kansas newspaper. Margaret's notice of death ran in the Coffeyville Journal on November 8, 1884. I have a transcript of that obituary. Thank you so much for any help you can provide.
